Sofia Richie Grainge’s 5-month-old daughter, Eloise, is already a cell phone user — kind of.
Influencer Jake Shane spoke with Richie Grainge, 26, about a hilarious experience “texting” Eloise on her “baby phone” during the Thursday, November 14 episode of his “Therapuss” podcast.
“I say ‘good morning, Eloise.’ And Sofia responds, usually,” Shane, 25, said during the podcast episode. Richie Grainge explained that “whoever is with Eloise gets the phone.”
For this particular story, their friend Ali Meller had access to the phone.
“I said, ‘Eloise do you mind if me and your mommy talk about how perfect you are on the podcast today’ and she said ‘No, keep my name out of your mouth,’” Shane recalled. “And I said, ‘Eloise, excuse me.’ She said ‘I hate you.’”

Shane added, “Eloise has a little bit of an attitude.”
Richie Grainge joked that she and Eloise had a talk about how she was texting.

“You are the best mother in the whole world,” Shane told Richie Grainge.
The model and husband Elliot Grainge welcomed daughter Eloise in May, more than one year after their 2023 France wedding.
During Thursday’s podcast episode, Shane recalled how Richie Grainge went into labor while he and their friends were at Coachella. (During the podcast, Shane and Richie Grainge clarified the widespread internet rumor that they are cousins. The pair met because he is friends with Grainge’s sister, Alice Grainge.)
“Remember, you guys tried to get me to go to Coachella,” she said. “Everyone made me feel really bad about it. … I was like, I’m eight-and-a-half months pregnant. And everyone was like, ‘So Lana Del Rey is performing.’”
She went into labor that weekend.
“We were getting ready to go out for the first night. I was like switching my outfits. I was making TikToks — fit checks — the whole to do,” he recalled. “We get into the van to go to Coachella and Ali goes, ‘Sofia’s about to go to labor.’”
He added: “Spoiler alert. It wasn’t labor yet.”

Richie Grainge said it was “preterm labor” and Shane noted that if she really was giving birth they would have left Coachella.
“That makes me feel somewhat better, even though I almost gave birth,” Richie Grainge added.
Richie Grainge previously explained that she had some difficulties during the tail end of her pregnancy.
“I had a great pregnancy up until about 32 weeks,” she revealed on the “SHE MD” podcast in October. The model went to a fetal specialist “to make sure that everything’s OK” and was told that she was in active labor.
“What was meant to be just, like, a few hours, actually ended up being, like, a six-night stay,” Richie Grainge recalled, noting that this started the “waiting game” before she welcomed her daughter, which she called a “fantastic delivery.”
